The Float is a static display of the Feb 23, 1945 flag raising on Mount Suribachi, and includes Marines in authentic hearingbone uniforms and gear to replicate the memorial in our nations capitol. 

Originally presented in Gwinnett County by the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 251 and subsequently adopted by our detachment.

This float is always received with reverence in the communities we visit, and for the Marine who participate, it is a truely motivating and moving experience.
